Red Rocks Intercultural Exchange Center
Red Rocks is an intercultural exchange center located Musanze, Rwanda, in the Northern Province. It is 100km away from the capital city, Kigali. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Rwandan, the famous twin lakes, Burera and Ruhondo, are located 27 km from Red Rocks.
This center is also near the Musanze caves, which stretch from Kinigi, the city famous for the Volcanoes National Park to the city of Yaunde. Red Rocks is 7 km from downtown Musanze. We aim to bring together people from different countries to live together and experience the cultures of Rwanda. Red Rocks allows room for exchange of different cultures of people from all over the world, but also works to benefit the people of the surrounding villages. Red Rocks provides opportunity for the surrounding local people to learn skills of visitors, and also gives the visitors a chance to learn skills of the Rwandese people.
Besides the interaction of the people in the village, Red Rocks offers set activities that are for the tourists to partake in such as Storytelling, backpacking, and local art are just a few of the many activities offered. This exchange center also provides friendly and modest accommodations for the visitors. Because Red Rocks is located out of heart of the city, it gives the people a chance to get away from all of the commotion and stay along the countryside. The accommodations start with the shared guest house.
This guest house has six different rooms, a wash room, living space, kitchen, and a dining room. Another option for staying at Red Rocks is the newly renovated camp sites. Many tents are fixed throughout the 3.5 acres of land, which allow the visitors a different experience.
